Which Dealer in NNJ?

Hey Folks looking for recommendation of which dealer i should be visiting. I've been an audi guy for the past 2 decades and this is my first Japanese car. I know enough to stay away from Jack Daniels Audi but no clue if there is any dealer as bad on the Acura front.

Park Ave in Maywood?

Montclair Acura?

Open Road on 23 in Wayne?

Anyone have any opinions?

Thanks,

MB

I think someone said they had a good experience at Ramsey Acura. I believe Park Ave is also regarded well.

If your willing to go over the bridge, Acura of Westchester has the best service dept I've experienced. Ask for Chris Colucci(sp)

I don't know if it's me but I wouldn't go to park ave. I bought my car there and they have a good sales dept but as far as service goes I'm not so sure. I went there for an oil change and specifically told them my coolant was low. After the service I went home and decided to check on my coolant and sure enough my coolant wasn't even touched and I also found a plastic bag in my engine compartment. Had I driven on the highway who knows what would have happened. Also everytime I call to get pricing they tell me they would get back to me and I never hear from them. As for ramsey I live in the area and I am very familiar with the dealerships here and I don't trust them. I heard Dch Acura in Montclair has a decent service dept but their prices after warranty are ridiculous. But if it's for warranty work I would try there first.

i personally dont like montclair because they tried to ripoff my dad, likely because it looks like he is an immigrant who doesnt know anything. he may be an immigrant, but hes not stupid. it was the sales department who blatantly lied, but i just dont trust the dealership as a whole. the other reason i never went is because i've had a TSX since i was 17, im 20 now, and montclair wouldn't give me a loaner when i bring my car in for extended service. ramsey always gave me an acura(usually an 08 TSX Nav) which they have reserved for the 17-23 year olds or whatever. older than that and you get a new model year car to drive around. i think curry is the same way

I vote for Ramsey Acura. I got a great deal on my mdx advance and always take it to service there. . Here is my opinions on the others:

Dch - shady. They worked a deal out w me when I was buying my mdx, once I came in to pay they said they couldn't do it. If sales is shady I say service is shady.

Springfield Acura - the valet kids or whatever they are banged my driver side mirror on my TL into another cars mirror as they drove by each other. They did it right in front of me. When I approached the driver he took off like a bat. My car went missing for over an hour. When I finally got it back the mirror looked like it had been compounded. Shady.

Park ave - sales use to be good. Service used to be good. Not so much anymore. Haven't been there lately.

Good luck finding a food dealer but like I said up top, I only let Ramsey service my car and no issues ever.

My opinion if you are just going to a dealer for warranty work they dont like that much because they dont make the same money as customer paying jobs
In my opinion Wayne Acura was pretty good on warranty related repairs (when it came to finding out what was causing the problems)

I go to DCH Montclair (Verona) for my warranty work. Service reps are not that bad, loaners provided for as long as you need it, free car washes. Sign up for their email promotions as you get good bogo deals on oil changes. Last year I got buy 1 get 2 free, maybe not anymore.

Don't touch Springfield Acura with a 10 foot pole. In my experience bringing my Legend for work always having issues with the service rep. Incompetent and lack of customer care.

I've gone to Bridgewater Acura once or twice for warranty work and they are pretty good. Huge garage to drive your car in when its raining and good reps. Plus free refreshments.

Springfield is the worst.

Zero for three buying the Acuras

3Gs have gone in for recalls and both times it was painful incompetence.

Buying the 4G they were the most unresponsive of 6 dealers contacted and the exact car was on the lot!!!

Zero business to them! Make sure every Acura owner I know does the same thing.

PS: Springfield police has been called numerous times to investigate excessive racing through the back streets with the cars.
