Recently something fell off a dump truck in front of my car on the highway and it cracked my front windshield (the crack is about 3 and a half feat wide) and stretched part of the rubber seal that goes over the top of the windshield, i am assuming that the seal will need to completely be replaced. the deductible on my insurance doesn't make sense to actually go through insurance and i don't have any clauses in my plan that cover windshield repair.

I have looked around, and there seems to be a wide variance between prices, i called a local place near me and they have a place that provides an OEM replacement for around 480 installed, they are reputable, but that seems pretty expensive. I looked on Safelite and for a front windshield it would be about 385 and change they will also come to your house and change it out thats a big plus for me.

I also looked at Dubin Glass, they charge about 250 and will also come to you. However the reason i am asking here is because maybe somebody has had good experiences with a business in the area (northern NJ).

Also this is my first time having the windshield replaced so i don't really know in terms of quality how bad or good it can get, so any insight would be appreciated.

i did look online, places like ebay and craigslist to see if there are people selling windshields for the TL.
