Dealer charges more than MSRP!
Just found out that the dealer that has been servicing both of my Acuras for several years has a tendency to charge above the MSRP... would you ever go back to a place like that? I don't think I will.
The dealer is Acura of Bellevue near seattle, they did some diagnostic work for me a couple weeks back and gave a huge estimate for the repairs, I considered it but thought I'd shop around, found a honda mechanic that gave just the cost of labor for the work and asked to provide all the parts... in my search this particular OEM part (39872-SJA-A02) is MSRP priced at $356.00, Acura of Bellevue lists it at $423.64 and the place I bought it from Bernardi Parts has it for $262.73!
I went back and purely out of curiosity checked the receipts for previous work they've done, and sure enough they had their way with me.
I understand that they have the right to charge whatever they want, but I'll never trust them again to give me the "market" quote and in fact will not spend another dollar at that place.
