Basically he got into an argument in the bike thread and they started giving him shit.
I think the main reason he was banned was because of a few statements bashing cyclists who don't pay attention and then everyone jumped on him saying that's it's the motorists job to pay attention (give me a fucking break)
I remember reading a thread about a year or so back when one of the admins or moderators best friends were killed while biking (a car ran him over I believe while they were together on a downhill) and I think that's the reason the ban came into place.
So, Formula Drift is this weekend up near Seattle. Along with the drift stuff is a car show that ive decided to make the drive for....Which means i have 4 days to:
1. Remove Fender Liners
2. Shave some tabs in said fenders
3. Lower front more
4. Put polishing my intake mani on hold
5. Sand down, and then fill in all the dip and channels in stock engine cover.
6. Find a place to paint engine cover WDP in said days left.
I should be able to knock out 4-5 tonight...6 first thing tuesday...1-3 after i drop off engine cover.

I Quit
To bad they were banned, I didn't follow the ban but if it was just because of some flaming of bicyclists on the road that is pretty lame.
My .02 about bicyclists on the roads is that if you want to be on the road then you need to follow the rules of the road. Each bicycle should be required to have headlights, brake lights, front and rear turn signals, mirrors, and a license plate. They should also be required to wear a DOT certified motorcycle helmet, because lets face it, a bike helmet is meant to protect your head if you fall over, not protected it against 2 tons or more of moving metal going God knows how fast.
If the bicyclist fails to meet any of the above criteria than an officer should be allowed to pull them over and ticket them accordingly. If they violate the rules too many times it should result in mandatory impound of their bicycle just like a motor vehicle. To the outrage that would generate amongst the bicycling community I say one thing, it keeps the bicyclist and the motorist safe, if you ride on the road, play by the rules.

^^ i agree and also should only bike in areas that have bike lanes... wayyyyyyyy to dangerous for them to be on a backroad.. no one should have to worry about going around a blind corner and expect a bicyclist right there or better yet a car trying to pass them at that point and risk a head on collision.. UGH.. i have a pocket full of change i can put on this topic.. living in portland i see it all and its sad people think they are more high and mighty cause they ride a bike (granted some are smart about riding) but not many.. vehicle vs bike the vehicle is going to win.. why risk your life to ride on the street.. its like taking a car and driving on train tracks.. you are bound to get hit or close to it at some point in time

Ok good, Formula D sucks. Cali even managed to fuck up D1, which was slightly better.
I also forgot to add: Someone was flamming schot and he told them to man the fuck up and come fight him, that might also be a reason. I still think it's mainly reason number 1 though.

Just got done putting on what is hopefully the last layer of body filler on the engine cover. Letting it dry for a bit before i go sand it back down. Hoping for no air holes...
Also, intake mani is wrinkle blacked. Gonna let that dry over night, and bolt that up tomorrow morning...then go test out the new drop.
Got alot done today.
Gonna add pulling off all my wheels and cleaning the barrels of them as well.
Then maybe tape off the front bumper for the drive.

Still, I think everyone was out of place on both parties in that thread, definantley not worth a perma-ban.

^Haha..haven't even turned my car on yet. But I've been feelin the heat with gas mileage. Dropped from 28ish to 25-6 because of cranking the damn A/C.
I know most of you don't drive the 2G TL but does the fan stay on with your cars as well? I mean stay on after keys out and doors locked and you're walkin away. Did it to me a few times those hot days and I got kinda worried but then I read it's normal and the fan continues to cool the car down until a certain temp. Didn't know it could overpower everything tho...

So...today has gone slower than i wanted it to. Still have yet to make it to the paint shop...did however get some high fill primer this morning, and the last coat of that is drying now so i can take some 1000 grit to it before taking it in.
Drove the car, didnt notice any rubbing that i cant live with lol and everything seems to be seated back where it should be on the intake mani.
here are some pics.
For those of you that dont know what the 3G engine cover looks like originally
You can see the channels that i filled in.

Hey, any of you guys know any good places to get your windows tinted? Preferably in Clackamas County, too. A guy in the Car Talk forum recommended Elite Window Tinting (http://www.elitewindowtint.net/main.html) but I don't think he's ever been there -- says he's from the east coast. Could anyone confirm if that's a good place? Seems pretty good based off what I read on the site.

My tint is from Alexis, it was like 185 for all windows. Infiniti dealership in beaverton uses them as well.
Bluefb - I bought my paint from the Napa auto on Canyon Rd in beaverton. Just give them the color code and ask them to mix it for you.
- All that costs me about 70 bucks I think, I painted my rear, sides, front lip, and front bumper. I think I still have about half of it left.
- Outcome, lip looks good. good shine, been about 3 months and no problem.

they can mix up anything, I forgot the dudes name, but there is only one guy there that handles the paint department. Very helpful guy. Honestly, I dont remember how many coats, I painted till it looked right, but clear I put on about 5-7 coats.
