SJ: charity car show suggestions

so the organization i work for here in san jose is currently thinking up different fundraiser events to raise money for our summer program and fiscal school year programming. weve done the normal mixers and car washes, etc etc. a chartiy car show was suggested and i instantly was interested. problem is that the person that brought it up was thinking more of a low rider car show. and if any of you are familiar with those, its tough to control (mainly because of the north and south issue here in san jose.)

so i was thinking of having an import show. i realize its been done before. i believe the youth at yerba buena do a car show as well. but i believe theirs is more of a lowrider car show as well.

im not too familiar with the car show scene here in the bay but i know that HIN is coming during the summer. that Hella bastos meet/show was i think 2 weeks ago. wek'sos does a lot of things. you guys think its even worth it to compete with these bigger auto events?..

anyone interested in maybe helping out?...havent worked out the logistics yet. hoping to get some feed back from some of you that have maybe set these things up before or have participated.

As with any car event, planning is always key. Getting a local spot that has multiple parking spaces would be best. Maybe a local school can work out as well, because as an example, we attended a charity event at Yerba Buena HS a few weeks ago and turnout was decent.

There was a show at EVHS this past weekend, but we were at a different charity event at FFTEC...they happen to sponsor some of our evos in the crew, so we ended up there for most of the day...
