Its a 03 TL-S with only 66K. I got it from Mike Harvey Acura in Burlingame.
I just got back from the dealer and they said im not part of the extended service
and they may not cover it or they may pay for half. I dont think I should pay anything. I have only put 22k on it before that it had a full check up by the dealer..Thanks guys. Im waiting for them to call me back. The only thing im worried about is I didnt take my spacer off or my intake (should have but didnt have time)

My F'n tranny blew last night!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was stuck on the sunol grade (YEAH! THE WORST PLACE TO BE STUCK ON I680!) tell 3:30am waiting for a tow to concord!
Now im being told by the Acura dealer my car is an 03 and wont be coverd under the 100K extended warrenty!!!
Its sitting in my driveway waiting to be towed to Acura of Concord.
What should I do??? I have had the car for only 6 months and its only got 66K on it!
I have a 99 Durango w/mods and 158K on it and for the last 3years it was raced almost every weekend. It still runs fine with the stock drive line..
So let me do the math. My DODGE with almost 3 times the mileage is a better built car than my ACURA/HONDA???? I love dodge but thats bullshit!
I bought this car as a DD and for the HONDA quality! I just hope they do the right thing and honor there name

(I think) at Acura of Concord.. He said its got the nasty tranny bug and sence I wasn't under the 7 year 100k they would cover 90%!!! 
So its only gunna run me about $420!! I didnt want to pay anything but $420 for a new tranny is COOL! with me. Atleast im not pay'n $4200
Plus they are getting me a loner car
I hope its a 3g TLACURA OF CONCORD IS THE SHIT! NO HASSLE, NO BS. JUST GOOD PEOPLE

My girlfriend just went through the same thing.
She bought the car brand new of the lot and they still covered only 90%.
I would consider it lucky and rock your new tranny son!
BTW: Sorry that you had to deal with all that sheyat because that sucks man!

Its gunna set me back tho. I wanted to do a mod or two for the next meet but im just happy im gunna b able to make it..

Yeah...I think I'm still gonna get it because it's not that expensive and anything that will help our trannies in the slightest bit is worth it to me!

cuz im not realy about the looks as much as the performance and a 03 TL-S with full bolt-ons should push like 350-375hp w/o the blower (just a guess). All that power in this tranny Biggymcwang you are mod'd out the ass. What do you do to keep your tranny alive???

The only true cure is the 6-speed conversion. Honda 5-speed trannies from 2000-2003 were faulty from the development stage. Most likely to try and cut cost.... funny how there are still people who think there is a free lunch.
It cost them more in the end. Oh yeah... cost us too.

Should be quite similar except for wiring harness from what I can think of... I'm not sure about that part very much. Honestly, I would have bought a 6-speed version if they had it. Automatics are not my choice for cars as I learned stick first. Nothing wrong with stick, long trips or in San Francisco hills. Either way, I'm sure after fix it should not break on your car. They lower power of the car (either by shifting earlier in 3rd or whatever voodoo they do) to make sure it prolongs the car. I've abused mine since tranny number 3 and it hasn't broken, still love my car disappointed in the tranny, the only flaw I hate about the car.

Stock exhaust with some magnaflow stainless steel tips. I had an exhaust a while back but sold it and stuck with quieter stock. The rear lip is Wings West to wrap perfectly around the ~3.5" outlet. My front and side are OEM.
