Too bad we couldn't pull off the West Coast meets South Gulf meet.

That would have been

With gas prices and other costs going up . . . . maybe some other time in the future.

Gas prices at the pump have gone down at least $0.40 since early last week and are expect to continue to drop and level out between $2.50 - $3.10 for 91 octane over the next several months.

Something like that.

I've been doing some research on the new 2nd gen diesels and they look promising. About 50% of cars sold in Germany are now using it and they are supposedly making as much power as gas engines.

Also, some of the hybrids are interesting as well. The new Accord is posting better 0-60 and 1/4 times than the straight gas version. And I heard someone can take the Prius and play with the electric motors and that thing will do 0-60 in 5 secs.

So maybe there's a future in those technologies . . . . if they just made some better looking cars to put them in.

Yep, we hit $3.09 for regular and are back around 2.59 . . . for now. Unfortunately we have 87, 89 and 93 octane, so I end up buying 93 which is still around $3.00.

I heard the real killing is made by the refineries as they've not built any new ones in about 20-30 yrs . . . so they've got a monopoly . . . so I've heard.
