Once you get some recommendations I will be adding this to the thread started for the Nor Cal section.

On "Where do I go to get _______ for my car.

No Nor Cal isn't very active like it used to be.

I have shops over here but I live in Elk Grove/Sacramento.

Your best bet for now is to probably Yelp

Winston Auto Services in San Jose might do muffler work I'm not 100% sure but alot of the guys on the forum go there to get their work done, and he does a good job. May want to check it out to see if they do that work.

as far as I know, Winston does not do mufflers.
I can second on Babe's & Lightening Mufflers, they do a good job, i have heard great things about them. I am thinking about having them doing a custom exhaust for me.

I third Babe's Lightning & Muffler (Kurt) near the Shark tank.
A few more awesome shops:
Classic Muffler (Andy) in SSJ by Oakridge Mall
World Mufflers (Pat) in Sunnyvale (border of Santa Clara)
El Camino Mufflers (Armando) in the heart of Santa Clara's "K-Town"

Tell them David from Quality Exhaust sent you. Excellent work, great prices. Can't go wrong with any of these guys, but if you don't believe me Yelp their reviews.

Just got rid of my mid muffler this morning at Babe's and Lightning. $40. Sounds very nice and aggressive with my ATLP J-pipe V2. Already have the Dynomax on order from Amazon for $38.

I didn't ask for any discount, that was what Curt offered, and I just accepted since that is reasonable from what I have read around the forum. Curt is pretty cool guy, welded on a new extended hanger for the straight pipe where the muffler used to be. Sounds really good, very nice growl from around 2.2k to around 3k, i feel it is more throaty than infiniti exhaust, however not as loud, which is why the Dynomax is on the way.

it shouldn't be that bad, since 2-3k is around normal shift points for everyday driving, i certainly hear it during normal driving. I have to be really soft on the gas and keep rpm under 2k to not hear anything in the cabin, although i am not sure what it sounds like outside. made a video last night, sound really nice, don't know if I should progress to stage 3.. lol

I know anything over $50 sounds too much for simple pipe work. $40 is reasonable, but I wouldn't be surprised if can be had for $30-35.

Someone said that they saw a very modest increase in MPG on another forum (TSX specific). As long as it doesn't decrease it, I'm all for it!

just had the stock resonator replaced with Dynomax. I wouldn't say it is louder, but the tone is more pronounced thru a wider rpm range. I am sure it will get louder as the new resonator breaks in. sounds gooood..
