Information needed for a turbo miata build

Hey guys,

So my sister finally is buying a new car and I'm getting my 99' Miata MX-5 back. I'm thinking about doing a turbo build but I don't know where to start.

I've been researching around and ultimately found:
1. Guys that did their own DIY customer turbo builds
2. Flyin' miata in Colorado that sells a complete turbo engine

I'm looking for someone who had experience in the Bay Area with this type of build or if anyone knows of a shop in the Bay Area that has experience completing a successful turbo miata build. I'm willing as far as shipping the car to SoCal to have a shop build this for me as I've seen this more popular out there.

Any information would be great or a link on a full build!

You know what? This will decimate all, after, you put about fifteen grand in it or more. If we have to, overnight parts from Japan.

Try to search for moomaster99. He use to have(or might still have) a turbo'd miata.

If you are looking for parts, hit up jdmpalace. He has a sweet miata and always has rare, cool parts. He may also be able to help you with ideas for a turbo.

just an update, decided to go with a 2004 mazdaspeed engine swap into my 99' NB. Probably going to throw in the Little Enchilada package from Flyin' Miata. Hopefully this will make around the 200-220hp range.

Depending on budget, suspension and wheel upgrades to come. Maybe I can bring this one day to one of our local meets?
