Firestone Lifetime Alignment Purchase: Any Recommended Firestone Locations?
Hey guys,
I want to purchase a Firestone Lifetime Alignment Plan for two cars. As we all know, Firestone shops are franchises and the quality of the work can vary significantly.
Can any of you recommend a particular Firestone location that does good work? Look for locations in both the Silicon Valley and Sacramento areas.
Thanks!

I go to the one on Calvine Road, in South sac/elk grove. I would recommend you ask for the tech named Tim Fry. He does all my alignment work and does a good job. The other techs are a joke.
Lowered cars arent' a problem because the alignment lift is level with the ground.
Hope that helps.

I have a few questions for you regarding the lifetime alignment service:
1) How often are you allowed to get an alignment?
2) Does your Hunter Hawkeye alignment rack have the optional plug-in to perform a zero-point calibration on vehicles equipped with stability control?
3) Is it true that technicians are only paid for the first alignment performed under the lifetime alignment plan, and subsequent alignments are considered to be "warranty" and are unpaid?
Thanks

hey tim,
i purchased a lifetime alignment from another firestone location a few years ago(hayward) and now that i have to run a little camber thats out of oem spec because of my new wheels, they wont do my car anymore. will you? and will you adjust the camber to the settings i want?
i wouldnt mind driving to sac for a weekend to get this done at your place so long as you're the one doing it and i get the camber specs i want (about -2 to -2.3 all 4 corners) and the fact that you have an in ground alignment rack is a major plus.

whats up tim. I'm the asian guy with the silver tsx. spreading the word to get you more work.
Sodalvr: you can get an alignment as many times as you want, but i wouldn't be troublesome and go everyday just because its free. I'm pretty sure techs are paid per job. Techs are workers so they should be paid for doing work. If lifetime alignments weren't paid for, techs would avoid them like the plague.
Knightrider: Tim will do whatever specs you want as long as the car will drive off the rack safely. Call the calvine firestore before coming in and schedule an appointment and ask for Tim. To be honest, you may have to wait even if you schedule an appointment since they only have 1 alignment machine. maybe we can make a small meet out of it. i live pretty close. hope that helps

Just went to Tim on monday, awesome guy! Highly recommended. Tim said I was welcome to come back anytime for alignments although, as stated above, its probably not a good idea to abuse it.
firestone's website states:
"provide a Lifetime Limited Warranty* on the alignment, which means we'll set alignment angles on your vehicle every 6,000 miles or whenever needed, free of charge, for as long as you own it
*See your auto advisor for complete terms and conditions of written, limited warranties"
Let me literally crawl around the alignment rack haha, see you in december Tim!
