105k Service

Anyone have good shops they'd recommend for the timing belt service? Preferably in the East Bay, but willing to go down as far as South Bay as well. Thanks!

Check out Frank and Paul's in Walnut Creek. I was looking into some work for my Lexus, but ended up selling it. I called this place and they were nice enough to explain the typical repairs without any pressure over the phone. I can't speak from personal experience, but FIVE starts on Yelp with 136 reviews for a Japanese car specialists in the East Bay is no joke. They also needed like 1 week for an appointment, they must have a lot of business for a reason.

Personally, I've had a lot of work one with Powerhouse Designz in Concord, they are efficient, honest, and inexpensive. They focus on performance cars, but can handle most jobs. Had a lot of work done a GS300 and A4. Geoff is awesome, honest, and laid back.

Good luck.

Also, Powerhouse is fine if you decide to bring your own parts. So you could purchase an OEM timing belt kit and bring it in, which will also save you a lot.
