Talking Veteran Leaser here

Hi all!

I've posted quite a bit already but finally get to introduce myself.

I've leased for a long time and just picked up my 2nd ever Acura, a 2021 TLX AWD A-Spec! Here's a list of prior luxury cars I've owned for a time:

2006 BMW 325i
2012 C-Class C300 4MATIC
2013 E-Class E350 4MATIC
2015 Audi A6 Supercharged 6 cyl
2018 Acura MDX AWD w/Tech
2021 Acura TLX AWD A-Spec

Why did I stick w/Acura? Hate the run-flats on the E-Class. Audi lost my trust during that whole Volkswagen diesel debacle. BMW wanted to charge for Car Play (then they didn't).

I lost a bit of the value proposition with the redesigned TLX price increase but the looks and handling so far have been justified!

Congrats ELIN. The new TLX is really sharp. Definitely would have had that in my sights if the family situation were different (ended up with cousin RDX). I also had a C7 A6 3.0T at one point as well--a 2012. So glad to see Acura making a come back and going toe-to-toe with the establishment. Here's to having choices

My question was more of when can I start editing my posts after joining as a newbie? Based on what I experienced, it appears to be a week required before I could edit a post.

That's a moot question since you are already upgraded to Registered Member. Did you mean "when could I have started editing posts"? You are a prolific poster and made 11 posts the day you registered and 15 posts the next day. I believe it requires 5 posts to be able to edit but still for only the first 15 minutes. I don't think there is a time limit; the upgrade is done by a computer program so the time may vary.

I can tell you for a fact that I could not edit until days after I joined. The button for "edit" did not appear for me until recently.

It's also possible that I may have just given up on editing after a while but I was pretty sure I was looking for that new "button" every day.
I also didn't have a larger PM box until recently too. I suffered through the 2 message max for multiple days while members were PM'ing me.

It takes 10 days until you get full access to the PM system and ability to edit posts for the 15 minute limit.
