Angry New TLX Owner - Messaging Problems

New member from Chicago area. I’ve spent many hours on this site before being a member though. Thus far membership has kind of been a bummer though. I finally joined because I found someone selling RDX wheels in the Chicago area. I private messaged the seller and they responded to me but I can’t read the message or open it. I have an email telling me I got the message but that my empty mailbox of (0) messages is too full to receive the message. Just noticed that there’s a 15 day waiting period about messaging? I don’t know what the deal is with this and it’s supper annoying that I can’t contact the seller because I was very excited to have found the rims I was looking to buy. Can anyone explain why I’d have to be a member for 15 days in order to be able to contact another member? Super bummed about seeming to miss out on this purchase because of this rule.

Welcome to the forums.

According to the Private Message statistics, which are as much as I can see about your PM's, you have 1 PM in your inbox and one PM in your sent box, which is the current limitation on PM's. This limitation is designed to prevent spammers and trolls from joining and flooding the forum with PM's. Besides the 15 day waiting period there is also a requirement to have 5 posts, for the same reason.

You have the option to delete the PM's you have received and/or sent and that will allow you to receive or send additional PM's.

When you delete the PM's you will be able to send the seller another PM and you should include your email address in case there are any further problems.

If you can't see the PM's let me know because there might be something wrong somewhere.
