Hello everyone, new member, but have been using Acurazine for years to help with various mods and repairs. I have a 2001 CL-S with 305k miles that I will be seeking some guidance with upgrades in the future. I also have a 2007 RDX Tech with 134k on the clock. The RDX is my seventh Acura. I currently work in Industrial Maintenence, but I did Audio/Video and home theater installations for over 27 years. One of my favorite hobby is custom car audio. I will also be happy helping anyone who is interested in upgrading your car audio....mc

Are you the original owner of the CL? I love to see people who hang on to older cars and keep them running. That 2001 w/ 305k is no slouch!

Welcome and happy motoring!

I bought it around 2005 with 80k on it. It already had it's second transmission in it. I did the timing belt at 140k. Had tranny rebuilt at 180k. My son took it to college. He managed to bend 3 wheels, break left strut, and bent the right one. I took the car back and my wife constantly took our dogs riding in it eventually tearing up seat cushions. Now that I've had it back the last 18 months, I'm slowly starting some of the major mods to the car. My first upgrade will be suspension and brakes. Gutting interior again and installing more sound deadening, pulling new wire and cables for augmented wideband audio system and led interior lights, and fog lights. I have Koni yellows with stock springs. I'm going to go with Eibach springs and sway bars, or coilovers. Replacing motor, transmission, and body mounts. Going with better brake calipers, and all new fluids. After that I will be tackling engine and transmission upgrade. If I'm still alive after all that, then I will work on cosmetics. ..lol

Sounds like it was "taken care of" in the mobster sense and not in the antiques roadshow sense.

Good luck with all that; sounds like you've got the passion!

It's a pig around town, but once you let her stretch her legs you can tell that there is something special about these cars!
