Hi all,
My name is Chris, I'm a new member here today after having lurked here for a while. This seems like a helpful and welcoming community and I'm excited to be a part of it. My first Acura was a 2010 TSX 2.4 Tech that I bought with 94,000 miles on it in 2015. It was pretty roughly used but that model is truly a great car it put me head over heels for the brand right away. Had to part ways with it in 2022 and move on to a 2020 TLX 2.4 Base which was the very definition of "fine" but was not difficult to let go of when I came across a good deal on my current 2021 Pearl White Platinum TLX A-Spec SH-AWD. Very easily the best car I've ever owned. Bone stock at the moment, although I have some Kicker speaker upgrades on the way as well as an amp upgrade from Phantom Audio, which is a company I came across on this forum. I plan on keeping this car until it expires, or I do. It's nice to meet you all, can't wait to share thoughts.

Welcome to Acurazine. Post a picture of the ride. Has the power difference from the 2.4L to the 2.0T been noticeable, despite the curb weight increase (~500 lb)? How would you describe your experience transitioning from FWD to SH-AWD?
Please excuse the dirt, old man winter has been pretty serious around here these past few weeks. As to your questions. The power bump for the 2.0T is plenty significant to be noticeable in this car in spite of its increased weight. This is true enough off the line, but especially true in the mid and upper rev ranges. This car will really push you back in the seat when you push it hard on the on ramp or when it's time to pass a few cars on a two-lane road. That's not to say it's without flaws; the turbo lag is very real (a year later and I'm still getting used to it), and although it is quick off the line you do feel the weight of the car and how hard the engine is working when you punch it from a standing start.
What is without flaws is the SH-AWD. For as heavy as the car is and feels when you're moving in a straight line, it doesn't feel that way at all in a hard corner. The power is always where it needs to be and there is absolutely none of the oversteer that I had from the FWD. Also if you live in an area that gets any snow, it handles that expertly as well. I always thought the hype about the Honda's SH-AWD was just hype and I was 100% wrong. It's well worth the extra cash if you can swing it
