Hello from the west coast. I just bought a low km (78000 kilometers) TL from a family friend. There's a few cosmetic dings and scratches, but I really don't care. It was regularly serviced at the dealership and quite a few things like the timing belt and brakes were just done. I've got most of his old records. Wish it were better on gas but it fits my needs and is fun to drive. I actually needed a wagon or van to haul some things, but I couldn't pass up this deal. Was also hesitant because of the non-folding seats, but decided I would just get a roof rack.

Thanks to these forums, I'm also making progress on my maintenance to-do list, which includes replacing the ATF (was done around 40,000km) transmission filter and the 3rd/4th gear pressure switches. I replaced the old, blistering Michelin Pilot Sports with BF Goodrich G-Force Comp 2 A/S. Hoping to use this opportunity to learn more about car maintenance.
