New to forums, not new to trouble

Diving right into it. 1st Acura 👍 and new to forums....but not new to trouble. Already this site has helped me. Even tho some these posts are 15+ yrs old, i have used answers from here to address issues. Now the challenge will be posting/contacting the correct person for the nightmare that be called a transmission. Dont want to violate rules so maybe someone will take pity on me. I dont really post much so im sure im going to do something wrong. Short version being '02 acura cls transmission trouble . prolly need to do the '06-'07 honda accord trans swap. Im sure rules against contacting directly so any help would be appreciated. Im driving in 1 gear w/ no reverse.

Welcome!

It sounds like you've already found the threads which detail the swap to the AV6 transmission; let us know if there are any specific questions which you have.

Decided or not to decide?

Now, before anyone asks i am by far not a scholar. It just sounded funny. And it seemed to fit my situation. And as many before me have said i will try and add pics. I did receive a notice from google maps saying a pic i posted last year has been seen by 200,000+ ppl. And I'd rather see a pic or two then try and decypher what I'm sure the writer thinks is a simple explanation that will fix someone else's problem. So my transmission that after i stepped on the gas and suddenly something was wrong and it would not shift anymore. I limped it back home, stopping once to see what i could see. Which was nothing. No dripping, or smoking or anything else that would make you cautious about it. This is when i noticed i had no reverse. Trans fluid did seem a bit low. Called a mechanic i know that has a shop (across town) , he said bring it by. Running cheap scanner i have gives two codes which are (P 0780, and P0730). So few days later bought trans fluid, filled it and drove 15-ish miles in the one gear over to the guy's shop. His fancy wireless tablet scanner revealed idk exactly what but, he said he seen when the 3rd disk pack failed. He made some calls and said i think $3400 parts & labor. Now in case i failed to mention. I bought this car in washington flew their from las vegas. Paid $1500 cash was told drivers pass. rear door didn't work. ( entirely diff. event). And drove it back to las vegas, stopping for gas and to sleep once. 1200-ish miles not one issue. Or sp i thought. This is where i decided not to decide. I limped it to Aamco

F$@#, this is the 3rd time writing this part paraphrasing would make no sense to someone reading it and dont even know for sure if this is gonna link or be close enuff for ppl to read. The only plus is i don't have to type with my ps4 controller that really sux ballz. Excitement level was way up here now its circling the drain. Ok so limped to Aamco. Diagnostic price $120 next day called revealed additional $475 to open trans. for further inspection. Was told if i decide to have work done elsewhere would be and additional $575 to reassemble. At this point I'm calculating my dwindling chances of not being raped. About a week later i go to shop and im given the bill(see attatchment). 3 days later noticed a clank when put in (R). Taking it in monday 9am. Updates to follw.

Aamco total bill

Sheesh, forgot to say after Aamco inspection. I asked why did the transmission fail. I was told water was present in the transmission cooler. I sure thought i read on here there is no trans cooler and manufacturer does not recommend adding one. I will add pic of new and used parts that bill shows was used in repair.

1st Acura and new to the forum. After initial delivery had an issue with the drivers assist. After the dealer installed a new computer and updated program, all good!

This is actually the 2nd page of my bill. As you can see it says 1 reconditioned valvebody 1 external cooler So i had the car like 2 days and when i put in reverse or part after driving it made a clunky kind of noise. My guess is whatever engages and disengages from drive to park or reverse. So i took it back in. I didnt get the car back until 3/15/2021. Next pic will show what they had to "order" from california. I get the car back it makes the same dam noise it made before.

This shows parts new/used/recon and labor date says i took it in on 2/25/2021 And picked it up 3/03/2021. And they tried to get me to pay for the mounts, no labor. I asked how much was told $100. I checked prices $50 max for both. So i said no thx. It shoulda been in my bill anyway.

Except now they have replaced the valvebody 2 times. Up to lifetime warranty but every year costs additional $500. He said same parts either way, so i got 1 year
