New To Acura

Been a long time Honda driver, then went off the reservation and got a Lexus and a Jeep JKU Willy's Wheeler. Sold the Jeep after just 3 years of "fun" and check engine lights on a regular basis and got a 2016 Acura MDX SH-AWD, Tech pack with low miles. Just looking up info on things I can do to upgrade the 3g to 5g. I have found a few posts about it where folks complained about that issue with the 3g and even seen someone say they are done with Acura and was buying a Lexus RX 350 because of it. LOLOLOL I have an RX 350 too and just so you know , Lexus isn't exactly leading the way in technological advancements. They didn't drop the cassette deck or put in a AUX jack until the 2010 RX 350. Honda dropped the cassette and added the aux back in like 2000 or 2003. Anyway, I just want to make sure I maintain it as well as the previous (original owner. Maybe the Acuralink isn't even worth messing with and I never use the gps in the Lexus anyway.

Just thought I would share a couple of photos. Wasn't sure if I would like it in person but I love the interior color of this car. The green is very calming. The seats are more comfortable to me compared to the RX 350 even though the passenger side of the RX 350 allows me a little more leg room for my feet to move. I kind of feel like the 3rd row is waste and they should have just made it 2 rows, gave both rows more leg room and you still have a lot of cargo space. But since I just need room for 2 and 2 sets of clubs, I guess it doesn't matter a whole lot.

Welcome to Acurazine. Were you considering any other models before committing to the MDX?

The MDX is the only Acura I considered but I did look at the Pilot. I tow a small boat (17' Lund) for fishing and the MDX seemed to fit the bill for that. The MDX fits me better for work too. I didn't even consider another Lexus. Wife loves hers, I don't. Aside from that I did consider an F150 & a Tundra. Lots of interior room in both. But I don't haul stuff, the gas mileage was not that much better than the Jeep and it seems everyone wants one.

Nice MDX for sure.

Lexus builds great vehicles - just curious, what don't you like about the RX?
