Hey everyone! I've done quite a bit of reading on here to find a solution to my transmission problem. So far my research has taken me away from a replacement tl transmission or a rebuild and I'm in the direction of a 07 accord transmission. From what I can tell by other members posts this is a far better and cheaper option. So, today I limped my tl in to the transmission shop and told the owner of my research and of course he wanted to rebuild it for another thousand dollars, but I've got a newborn and diapers are expensive lol. Anyway, he told me he could put in the accord trans, but first he would have to check the numbers on the acura tran case to make sure they matched. I'm not sure what these numbers are or if they have any significance, but I am humoring him and letting him check the numbers. So the whole point is this, does it matter what 07 accord 3.0 L trans I put in my car? I know the hybrid won't work, also, what modifications will he have to do in order for this swap to work? Like I said it in the shop now and I'm not sure how much I trust this guy to do it right, so, i figure if I give him all the info how can he mess it up? Thank you all in advance!!!
