Upgraded Taillights &
RV6 Jpipe

Very nice. I recognize the wheels - have spotted you in town. I miss that color from my former RL.
Treat it well - that was the best Acura sedan design since the LEGEND. It also was the last car I was fixated with when it was introduced in the 2004 Tampa Auto Show, resulting my in my 2005 TL.

Thanks for the kind words fellas! I've added a few cosmetic upgrades since the initial post, and now we've signed the TL up for the American Gumball Rally in Florida this weekend, so it's all stickered up with sponsorship decals for the race (just temporary of course). We blacked out a few trim pieces, badges, wheels, and added an XLR8 Quad Tip exhaust.

Thx for sharing. Love the RBP (Royal Blue Pearl)... black in low-light, but blue in the sunlight! :thumbup1 1:

Congrats! That's pretty cool.
So it's now, legitimately, a racecar?

The pink pops man! I wasn't a huge fan at first but it's growing on me! Looking at different high-gloss color wraps for next month now.

First off, I must say wow! that car looks amazing, I'm glad it's treating you well.
I gotta ask though... how much did all the exhaust mods cost you? and if I may ask where you got all the parts from. I'm trying to find a nice exhaust upgrade similar to what you did, but unfortunately, I'm on a can't-spend-too-much budget

The XLR8 Cat Back Exhaust: $1,050

RV6 Jpipe V3: $450

RV6 Pre Cat Deletes: $$330

If you're on a budget though, I highly recommend following Justnspace's advice above. You can change your exhaust note easily by simply removing your mid-muffler and even adding new aftermarket mufflers (replacing your stock mufflers) like Magnaflow or Flowmaster brands to produce a deeper more aggresive sound. Now it won't sound the same as a full stainless steel Cat Back Exhaust system, but it will certainly create a sound different from stock for way less money.

I'd actually appreciate that if you can just let me know who and how much it'd probably cost. I know it's usually hard to get what you want out of an exhaust system if you don't have the money to spend on it, but you might be able to help me out based on what I want, but if not, that's all good too. Tbh I'd love to have that slight performance boost with the exhaust, but one thing I've always wanted in my system was that low sexy purr. I don't want something too obnoxious, but I don't want something too quiet either. Just that nice mid-level purr when the car is idle and of course some extra sound when I'm on the move. If there's a cheap alternative to the sound, I'll take it even if it doesn't really amplify my performance. I'm not too knowledgeable on exhaust systems, so any advice/recommendations would be delightfully appreciated, but I think what I DO know is I probably don't want a straight pipe lol

Thanks for the kind words! The exhaust mods added up to a decent amount before install, which added a few extra hundred working with my performance shop here in Florida.

Wow... although I've always loved that XLR8, I just can't afford it right now. You're absolutely right lol your mods are amazing! but it just looks out of reach for me, so I'll just follow through with the latter or just see what Justnspace has to say haha thank you though! I'll keep these in mind for when I build up my wallet a bit

There's going to be a big meet with all sorts of cool ass imports this Sunday!!! I know, kind of late to tell you...But I only was informed yesterday. It starts at Catalina coffee on Washington in the heights at brunch or lunch time. Then all of us ricers will move to another location. Big meet, you won't be disappointed if you can make it.
Also in April, us Acura zine ppl will hold a meet at bubba's Burger under the 59 freeway.
Here's your chance to check out our TL's with all sorts of exhaust mods.
