Long time lurker.. decided to join. Lots of helpful information on this forum.
Previous Acura - 2018 TLX A-Spec great car, ran very well never any issues that were not fixed under warranty, because I have an outstanding dealership.
Current Acura - 2023 TLX Type-S. Amazing car, runs and drives perfectly. Android-play sucks, otherwise its an absolute beauty in all ways inside and out.
Welcome to Acurazine. You owned a stellar looking car. You now own one of the sexiest cars on the road today. Was there a drastic performance increase upgrading to the Type-S?
What other vehicles have you owned before?
Are there any aspects of the TLX Type-S that you weren't aware of prior to ownership, and living day in and day out with it?

Thank you. The 2018 was the grey color with the red interior that the previous owner decked out with all kinds of add ons. I modified the exhaust on it and it sounded great if not just a little too loud for my taste, after driving it afterwards. Thank you. It IS an extremely sexy beast no doubt. The color is a pain in the ass to keep clean, but when its clean.. there is no other vehicle, that looks as sharp as a cleaned up TYPE-S. The difference to me when I changed over were quite stark. The old dual screen set up was kind of doofy.. The ride and fit and finish was and is all Acura of course. But the 23 Type-S has a much better layout and user interface in my opinion ergonomically than did the older A-spec. The A-spec also only had PAWS (unusual for a V6), but I wasn't griping as the PAWS system was fun to drive, but not the same as the SH-AWD, which in the 23 Type-S, will throw you right of the car of you aren't fastened in real well. I love my Type-S. It was my primary daily driver and its so much fun to drive and it performs so well, that I was starting to 'mile' it pretty quick as I live quite a ways away from where I work. So I ended up parking the Type-S (using it only for fun now) and daily-ing a 2012 CRV. Wasn't a Honda guy till I bought my first one which was a 2016 civic (the car before the 2018 A-SPEC TLX) and until it got swiped (yes.. I helped catch the thieves) it was alot of fun to drive. My daughter in-law, her best friend and my brothers ex-ol lady all now drive Hondas because of me.. lol. Thus, I am now a dyed in the wool Honda fan forever, as I wont own anything else, unless it would be a heavy duty or severe off-road pickup. In which case it will always be a Chevrolet.
