I have owned a blue 2006 TL for over six years (as a second owner). She has over 177K and still runs and looks like she just stepped out of the showroom. Of course, I have a great mechanic, make sure that she visits him regularly for scheduled maintenance, and I run her on synthetic oil. I've taken her to Hawaii for a two year assignment, but otherwise, drive a lot of highway miles on the East Coast.

My fandom with Honda Motors began with my bought off the lot, 1991 Green Civic SI, aka, the pocket rocket. I moved to a barely used 1995 Accord Wagon (retired in 2013 after being used as the kids college ride at Temple with over 250K, on first engine and transmission). Was heartbroken when wagons were discontinued as the Odyssey era ramped up...minivan? No way!! I drove a Toyota Camry V6 for a few years, but was underwhelmed. . [Again broken hearted when the TSX Sport Wagon (with its underpowered engine) was discontinued.]

I take heat from the girl posse, with their Audi, BMW, MB rides. All I know is that I don't have the insane maintenance costs (like tires!!!) and haven't been sitting on the ride of the road, waiting for road service.

Am considering my my next used Acura purchase. The TL runs so well and my mechanic thanks me for maintaining his next car ;-), lol.
