Hello from Nashville! I just picked up my very first car, a 08’ Acura TL-S 5AT with 120k miles! I’ve had an eye for TL’s for a while and have finally been able to pick up my own. I’ve been doing maintenance on it and am planning on doing the timing belt, water pump, valve adjustment, and gasket change soon. The car does have damage on both the front and rear bumper. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find Type-S bumpers? Thanks!

 

Welcome to Acurazine. Congrats on the new ride. You have a superb FWD vehicle, and you should consider yourself fortunate to be experiencing this car at only 18. I owned a 2007 Type-S two years ago, and it was the best FWD vehicle I have owned. It also looks magnificent in stock form, in my opinion. I hope you cherish it, and enjoy it fully.

 

Welcome to AZ, that's a very nice 1st car. Not sure where you can find bumpers but look around the 3G TL section there's LOADS of info there including a great extensive writeup on changing he water pump/timing belt.

Its a classic looker! I find some Bumpers on Marketplace, you might be lucky at a local junkyard some random morning lol

Might be worth asking what the dealer could do for a new one nowadays.
