First TLX drive

I've been an Acura owner since 2004. Both TSX's and my latest 2009 just hit 100K miles last weekend. Still love my car but had to take it to the shop a couple days ago and the dealer loaned me a new TLX. I have to say I love the way it drives and look forward to driving it more before the weekend ends. I'm very impressed with the tight steering, handling and smoothness of the ride not to mention the always impressive Acura interior ergonomics. But am I the only one that misses the looks of the previous two TSX's? I know there's a different letter involved so I shouldn't compare too much but I think the TLX lacks a bit in design. I think the front end could use sort of a makeover soon. Just my opinion but I'm curious if I'm alone here.

Ok, this makes me happy. Looks like I'm holding out for a year when they release the 2018 TLX.

Yeah I'm brand new here also. I have to agree that the new models don't have the same appeal. I have a 2015 TLX and originally it looked pretty plain but I've done some slight mods and it looks great now. Originally I had some buyers remorse with what I thought was a boring look but now I really like it and I get looks almost everyday.

Great to hear, Blancmange! Would love to see some pictures if you'd be willing to post some.

Here are a couple pics but I'm going to take some new ones to get a better view of the full car shortly. I've done a few things since these pics so I need to update anyway

That looks great! I especially love the carbon fiber grill. The stock silver grill was one of the style marks of the TLX that bugged me the most and you made yours look so much better. Would love to know where you found your mods.
Thanks for sending pictures and yes I wouldn't be opposed at seeing more when you can.

Welcome to all of you.

If you like CF, check out one of our new vendors are providing for the TLX: https://acurazine.com/forums/fifth-g...oducts-949234/

Thanks appreciate it! I did it on my own. The rims are plastic dipped and the CF is a vinyl wrap that I purchased and put on myself.
If I have time I'll take some more pics this weekend and send them off.
I agree, the front grill in silver is a big eye sore!

Hi ggesg,

So what is the product? Is it real CF or is it Vinyl with a gloss finish? Looks nice, I like it

Not sure. Might be better to post in the thread I linked and/or send the vendor a message.
