back to vtec

Hi guys,

Greetings from Miami FL!

Just bought a 2006 Acura TL with 51k miles from the nicest lady who babied it it's whole life and I instantly fell in love with the car. I needed a sedan and after days of research I realized Acura is the only way to go. I've owned German cars in the past and my fun car is a 2000 Porsche Boxster (on it's second engine) so I went the Japanese way for the daily driver. I had a Honda S2000 before and I missed that bulletproof reliability and the vtec so here I am returning to the good stuff!

Only issues with the car are the most typical:
- Bluetooth module broke and was disconnected to avoid battery drain
- dash cracked (Florida car)

If anyone has easy links where these topics have been beaten to death I'd appreciate it while I will be doing research on my own.

Hope to learn a lot about these cars and give back to the community as I go.

Cheers,

Cristian

dont really need threads as these are simple issues...

1) buy new bluetooth HFL and replace broken one.
  • forego bluetooth module as they will all break eventually...(circuit board and solder go kaput)
2) labor kills whatever discounted dash you may find.....
  • forego dash replacement
  • buy dash cover - some even look stock and no one will be able to tell you have a cover.

Bought the USA SPEC BT45-HON3 Bluetooth and it works beautifully! cheaper than the HFL and I can stream music.
Coverlay dash is on the way, research shows it's the best way to go and will last. no point in replacing something for big bucks that will crack again.. Damn it Honda!!

Thanks a lot for the replies!
