Back on the Acura team!
Hi all! Not a new member, but I've been away for a while. Sold the 2005 TL 6-spd in my profile pic and signature (man, that was a beautiful car!) in 2015 and replaced it with an Audi S3. The Audi was great, but New Car Fever got a grip on me this year, and I'm coming back home to Honda/Acura (owned two consecutive Accords before the TL).
Within the next few weeks, I'm planning to take delivery of a 2024 TLX Type S in Lunar Silver Metallic. The car was built last week, and I guess it's sitting in a lot in Marysville waiting to get on a truck. Anyhow... here's the reason for my post. Eagerly anticipating my new ride, I decided to browse some photos of Type S's in Lunar Silver Metallic, and... there are none! I spent almost an hour scouring Google Image Search, and even resorted to a fruitless "conversation" with Google's AI tool, but neither method produced a single image of a Type S in Lunar Silver. Plenty of A-Specs mind you, but no Type S. I searched this Forum too, of course: no joy.
Does anyone here own one? I happen to like silver, so I was happy to tick that box and save $600. Now it seems like I'll also have a very rare vehicle! Will be sure to post pics when it arrives.

Welcome back to Acurazine. Congrats on the new ride. I believe that it's one of the sexiest vehicles on the road today. Please post a picture when you receive yours.
How would you rate the S3 during your ownership experience?

Thanks, I certainly will post pics. The Audi was/is a great car; very quick and actually quite reliable. There were several recalls (nothing serious), and the water pump was replaced under warranty. It's fun to drive, but lacking some of the features -- basic stuff like home-link and driver's seat memory, for example -- that should have come with a car costing over $50K in 2015. That was also a year or two before Android Auto became a thing, and even Bluetooth pairing can be a bit slow and wonky. All in all, I'm very much looking forward to the Acura with its V6, comfort/convenience features and far superior AWD system ... not to mention killer looks!
