Hello, everyone! Im new to Acura but not new to Honda. Let's see: 1989 Prelude, a 1994, Prelude, a 1992 Civic and a 1998 Civic ek. My other cars have all been Toyotas. Including a 2012 Scion xB. I saw this car on Craigslist, for $2,250 and I offered the kind older gentleman $1,900 and he graciously said yes. His name was Dan. 2001 TL 170k miles, new exhaust, new tires, new battery, timing belt done at 120k. He's a Christian and im a Christian too, and we had a long conversation. He's a Vietnam War veteran 78, with grandchildren the whole Norman Rockwell. Turns out God is taking him to Heaven through cancer. We prayed and hugged, and just had a great connection, on that rainy, cold Saturday afternoon. He even offered me $20 for gas because the car had sat for six months and I said "No way Sir" then he spoke to me & gave me a look without saying one word like: "Take it kid." It started right up. Typical Honda/Acura. I drove to Autozone, & got new wipers and drove it home. She'll need some TLC but God had me buy that car, from him for a reason. Anyway Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I look forward to helping out anyone here if I can - as I most definitely shall ask for the club's help. : )
