My NSX and a Z06
Went out for a long drive outside the city with my friend this morning... he has a new Z06 Vette. Just for fun we played around a bit, I pulled on him the first time, he pulled on me the scond time... both times... pretty darn close, neither person could really pull away... I was surprised. I had an extra person and the targa off... at speed it slows the car... I don't know how close it would be with those disadvantages gone. I'll post some pics later. We also had a Ferrari with us... the NSX got the most attention... it's like Raquel Welch... no matter how old the design gets, it still looks good.

Sorry my friend took some pics and I am still waiting on him.. should have taken a video because between the sound of my supercharger on full boil through a ti exhaust and that deep NASTY Z06 7.0 liter motor roar it was really a symphony...
I could visibly see his car squat even at highway speeds as he pulled, and a friend said mine was doing the same as he could see the rear end hunker down and the front lift.
I really tried with the Hopkinton meet but just couldn't get out of work. sng no problem on a ride, PM me and we can meet up some place. But I don't do any crazy stuff on the street. And I am warning you I do a lot of track events and I am well aware of what the car's limits are... last person I gave a ride to said "pull over" because were nacious... LOL...

New Titanium exhaust changes colors depending on temperature... it's pretty neat to see it pink then purple then blue as it cools...

Thanks. The older ones are pretty affordable now. I always wanted one too. I went to the Nissan dealer recently and drove a GTR. All anyone at the dealer wanted to do was look at my car. Here I was leaving the parking lot in a shiny new black GTR and I see a crowd of all the mechanics and salespeople around my car. LOL... In the end I realized the GTR is one fast very nice car, but it didn't involve me as much as my car does... sitting lower, much better view of the road, a stick shift not some gizmobox shifting for me, and a roof that comes off was more appealing to me than the GTR. I also seriously considered an Aston Martin Vantage but it was just not as quick as the NSX. I looked at Porsche turbos, but in the end, its not very unique... tons of them around. Now I am looking at that Aston and its worth 50% of what it was 2 years ago, and I am so happy as my NSX hardly depreciates and never breaks.

Nice! Hopefully I will get a chance before I move out of MA. I have also always wanted an NSX. Maybe I'll be able to afford one eventually when I have some extra spending money.

Even near 20 years later, the design is flawless & the cars are as rare as the rivaled Ferrari's it once competed with. The GT-R will be faster & is nice, but there's always that 1 reason the NSX was nicknamed, "The Ferrari of Japan".
I can only hope to afford one here in the next 5 years.

That will always be one of the NSX's biggest charms, imo.

Quick clip of the guy that worked with all the Honda engineers to make this car. Can't wait til the movie comes out. I wonder if it will include any of his work with Honda.

Used to spend my youth in Switzerland in the summers in the 80's and early 90's...my uncle over there was BIG into formula 1. I remember watching all of those guys race...little did I know it was an era that I'd only really appreciate 20 years later.
Cool vid...
and I too would like to go NSX one day. Great car! I knew a guy down here in Fort Lauderdale with the widebody kit and supercharger...he had a burgundy one and a dark grey one. Both gorgeous cars.

I went to Watkins Glen with the Ferrrari Club and took some pics, so I am updating this thread
first pic, unbelievably, was a yellow Lexus LFA that pulled up next to me at a rest stop on the mass pike. Driver never got out. Said hello, and took off. Sounded exactly like a Formula 1 car getting on the pike going west:
140 Ferraris at the Ferrari Challenge Race at Watkins Glen:
Air jacks now used balance the car on 3 legs:
At night we were invited to a car show at Corning on a close street. Amazing how much attention the NSX got in the midst of a ton of beautiful Ferraris:
Going back on the track... if you've never done this... the fun is unreal:
Some of the aftermath of pushing a bit too hard. Luckily I wasn't one of them:
Last but not least, my car next to a 458 Italia... 19 year old design holds its own still:

Well, there was a yellow LF-A parked in Boston like three weeks ago. Herb Chambers Lexus was showcasing it...turns out it was his.
And considering the LF-A is a limited production car...and most go to southern climates anyways. And this is the banana version .
The yellow actually looks good in your pic, though!

New yummy toys going in this weekend. These are 3-way Competition dampers from KW, they cost as much as a Nissan Versa. LOL....
I got lucky and bought this setup as it came off the NSX the factory Honda race team used to tune the NSX-R suspension on the Nurburgring Nordschliefe.
1200 pound springs, I am sure they will have a smooth ride.
Shhhhh..... I'm gonna hunt me some Fewwawis...

This setup is definitely lower but the height is fully adjustable. I will probably raise it back up some as I already scrape. That won't affect the rates or balance. I will probably have to break down and get a variable ride height kit that allows me to raise the car up to clear certain driveways but I am trying to avoid anything that adds extra weight. I am down to a dry weight of around 2800 something pounds now.... in other words... 1000 pounds lighter than a Nissan GTR.

Dude I know I'm reviving a thread here, but damn your car is soooo nice!
I don't know what you do or how you afford all that but 11k coils is pretty ridiculous and i hope the ride is phenomenal
maybe I'll see you around sometime!
