Spa Qualifying
Ferrari P1 & P3; Schumacher and Barrichello respectively. Raikkonen P2. I really thought Kimi was going to get the pole the way he went after the course on his second run but Schumacher set his fastest time of the day less than half a lap behind to snatch the pole. Honda engines? I can only say they have a LOT OF WORK TO DO!! Panis blew up another engine on the run up to Les Combes (top of the long straight) which caused Raikkonen (on a hot lap) to have to drive through dense smoke blindly at 197.5 mph (he and MS fastest of the day thru there). JV's down in 12th I think is where he finished, Panis, 15th while Jordan finished 14th and 16th. Montoya and Schu Jr not a factor really as the McLarens seem to have come into their own at this track which is historically a horsepower track. I don't understand why then, BMW was 4th and 5th (Schu, JPM). Best news of all? They are calling for a dry race tomorrow. Can't wait (as usual for any F1 race).

The F2002 car is way better than anything else that Williams, McLaren, or anyone else has out there right now. I think that's the main reason Schumi and Ruebens are 1 & 2 on the podium most of the time. Schumi is also great driver and knows how to set up his car to maximize its speed and handling.
As much as I'd like to see JPM or Kimi win at Monza, I'll bet my $1 on one of the men in Red.
