Honda:
Jenson Button: "Well, a tough day really trying to find a balance. Initially the circuit was very dusty but as the track improved through the day we were able to work on the car more. The fact remains however that we are still a long way from where we want to be."

Rubens Barrichello: "It's simply the case that we have had a very bad day. To end the day where I am is obviously extremely frustrating. We were not able to improve the braking stability issues that we have, so all I can say is that we need to look at what we have learned today and try to find a solution that can get us back to where we were during the test last week."

Kimi apparently will not change his engine, Todt says they never planned to...

Looks like we may have an interesting race for second third and fourth in the constructors battle this year. Unless something changes the Scuderia will be first but second may be more open with Macca, BMW and Renault having a go at it.

That was a great end to qualifying last night. I love these late night races. I used to stay up late on Sunday evenings back in the 90's to watch the tape delay of BBC broadcasts on CBC. Can't wait to wake up tonight at 2:30am.

Where's Honda? Even Toyota is on the points board! And Super Aguri is 1 spot behind the factory sponsored team! What's going on?!

Honda = the suckage BAAAAAAAAAAAD. So disappointing but to watch Hamilton dupe Massa into a mistake was awesome. That kid is unfuckinbelievable.

^^ hamilton is not THAT good. massa is just a bad driver, on/off in dry, way off in wet.

we'll see this weekend when kimi has fresh engine and his engineers let him loose. sad times for a honda fan, i'm about to cry. the spec B car can't come soon enough!!!

i disagree, i think Massa is a pretty good driver and i think Hamilton is an even better driver! And the fact that as a rookie he was able to force someone like Massa into a mistake and keep Räikkönen at bay only speaks to his potential.

Let's see: Hamilton had more fuel at the start as did Alonso (slightly less than his team mate actually); he passes Raikkonen into Turn 1; and then passes Massa on the outside of the next two turns for second. Then under intense pressure he keeps the Ferraris behind him for the remainder of the race--his SECOND race ever. Now in my mind, after having watched F1 since the 60's, there has not been a driver who has made a debut like that, even Schumacher.

Oh yeah, Hamilton also had fastest lap of the race. That counts for somethin' too doesn't it?

WTF kind of drive was that from Massa??????? He had a bad race, but will bounce back I'm sure. I think you guys are giving Hamilton a bit too much credit though. I think it was more Massa outdriving himself rather than Hamilton really doing much. Massa would have done the same thing had Webber been driving that Merc. Seems to be more Massa caved under pressure IMO.

I also dont like Hamilton's comments in the post race interview,..........ya, I tricked massa into outbreaking himself blah blah,........came off sounding pretty bad in my eyes considering it's only his second race. That's just my opinion, but I am already starting to not like him.

Honda,.......just sad,.........WTF is going on.

Anyway,..I hope Ferrari wins everything this year,.......I hate the whole Merc team including Retarded Ron Dennis. He was STILL going on about how BMW had a plan to show off and ruin his race plans etc before the race started when Peter Windsor was doign his usual grid stuff.

I agree w/ you on this point Steve. I thought it was great BMW got 4th in spite of running w/ heavier tanks than anyone at the beginning of the race. It's racing Ronster, someone is always gonna try and piss on yer parade.

What happened to Massa? My wife woke up sick and I had to take care of her for half an hour. Did he run off the road?

I think it is fantastic to see some new "faces" up at the front. Too bad one of them is not HONDA.

Im hoping BMW grabs a race win this year.

I feel bad for Spyker,.......both cars,.......geez.

He was trying to get around Hamilton on the inside,.....locked up the wheels a bit and went onto the grass. Kimi and BMW (kubica was it?) got around him,........and thats all she wrote.

^^ No, Kimi and Nick Heidfeld went around Massa after he went off. As Hobbes said "Massa must be thinking What the Hell happened?" Massa has always been prone to these kinds of mistakes, thankfully he didn't do that in Brazil last year allowing him to be the first Brazilian since Senna to win this race.
