Post Schumacher to retire...

One of Formula One's all-time greats reportedly is ready to vacate his ride permanently.

Michael Schumacher will announce his retirement at the Italian Grand Prix on Sunday, the German newspaper Bild reported.

The newspaper gave no source for its report.

The seven-time champion, who holds every major record in Formula One, had previously said he would announce a decision on his future at the race.

"We can't comment on everything. As we said, there will be more on Sunday," Schumacher spokeswoman Sabine Kehm told Bild.

Schumacher's contract with Ferrari expires at the end of this season. He trails defending F1 champion and current leader Fernando Alonso by 12 points in the standings with four races remaining.

Just saw that report on ESPN. Ferrari's been pressuring him to make a decision, which is understandable, given that they need to make preparations for next season too.

So, with Renault's seats gone, does that mean Kimi to Ferrari? hmmmm

Of course he would like to retire. Alonso at age 24 kicked his ass. Its gonna happen again this year. And if he continued, next year would have been the same story, and so forth.

I'm sure he'll get by.

Now I can go back to cheering for Ferrari. I couldn't bring myself to do it with him there. Its time F1 moved on.

Not to mention that fact that all my friends and family and huge fans. Sick of hearing them talk about him.

It would kinda suck if he doesn't retire as champion, but then again, what does he have to prove?
