the FIA is again overhauling the points system because of the number of cars on the grid (26)

The new scoring system will award 25 points to the winner of a GP, 20 points to the second place finisher, 15 for third, 10 for fourth, 8 for fifth, 6 for sixth, 5 for seventh, 3 for eighth, 2 for ninth and a single point for 10th place.

Too early in the morning to comment logically on this.

 

 

one thing's for sure: if you have a driver who consistently wins, it wouldn't be hard to imagine him scoring 250 points plus which just sounds ridiculous.
