Haven't 'met' anyone, been in close proximity to Ralf Schumacher and Montoya at a press conference in Montreal.
Saw Alex Yoong working out at my gym when I was living in Montreal, he was working his forearms with a 45 lb plate, mimicing driving movements. Found that interesting

Now name the ones that acted like a douchebag to you/around you.
I have met none.
and I used our sleuthing skills and some patients one year to see Hamilton/Witmarsh coming/going from their hotel.

gil de ferran (sic)
arie lyendyk
aj foyt
larry mcreynolds
sarah fisher
A few other indy drivers that i can't remember.
bobby hillin jr
I have a picture with roger penske
i have a picture of dr jerry punch holding the mic up to my mouth at indy. There was a suite ass dark blue panaz behind us too.
I met benny parsons in the early 90's. I remember asking him if he actually went into the infield and ate food when people invited him. He was all about food, and i don't think they said much on the air after that about him talking about food.
I'll really have to think about this though, there are several others.

Not me, but a few of my friends met AJ Foyt in the rental car shuttle bus at the Detroit airport back in 1990 (?). They had just left the Michigan International Raceway watching the CART race, AJ's car blew a motor so he and his manager were turning in their rental car. They got on the bus with only my friends as the only other passengers.
Although AJ may have a temper, that day he was in great mood. He was joking with them and also jokingly put his arm around my friend's wife. Signed a bunch autographs for them and apologized for not having any hats or t-shirts. All my friends said he was petty cool.
One of my neighbor's bumped into Jacques Villenuve in a at a hotel in Brazil, JV was there for the F1 race and my neighbor for a business trip. My neighbor had no idea who JV was but said he was a cocky SOB.

I could give a rat's a$$ about meeting a driver. I did get to meet one of my heroes at the 1986 Indianapolis 500 though.
Chuck Yeager. He was driving the pace car that year.
The long story: I was in my high school's marching band, and we were invited to march in the parade around the track. The night before, some friends of mine and I were walking around the dorms, where we were staying, and literally ran into him. I was the only one in my group who knew who he was. Got to shake his hand, but didn't ask for an autograph. To me that is something you ask a celebrity, not a died in the wool hero. Definitely one of the highlights of my life. I have no idea what he was doing there. My memory of that time is a bit sketchy, so I don't know if there were accommodations for special guests that would have been near the band's dorms.
I didn't get to see the race though, it was rained out.

Used to go to a bunch of Champ Car races in the 90s, so bumped into just about every Champ Car/Indy Lights/Trans-AM driver in the pits or local restaurants/hotels. Mario is one of the most friendly guys in the paddock, but boy, did his son act like a jerk. Probably the most memorable one was with Jeff Krosnoff at MIS in 96, as we chatted quite a bit while waiting for qualifying to start, and then he died a few months later in Toronto.
I think the last driver I met was when I left the Houston GP and bumped into Patrick Carpentier at the airport after the race.

We were at that race and that sucked. I had the scanner on and tuned to the marshalls' channel. They were screaming "Code Red, Code Red" over and over and "get an ambulance here." We couldn't see it from our seats at the beginning of the straight but saw it on the diamondvision tv. very
