First, what are the odds that any of these kids actually make it to F1?
Second, if they do so, how do they avoid being rich assholes? Or maybe they already are??
I feel a little sorry (sad) for these kids.
But only a little bit.

... the chances that both boys will make it to Formula One are almost zero.

The races are dominated by prestigious teams, like Baby Race, which supply personal mechanics to each child. Some kids arrive with their own bodyguards. Some arrive in helicopters. Many parents seek sports psychologists for their preteens. A number of Baby Race’s 25 drivers — it’s obvious which ones — are extremely wealthy and extremely average.

Lorandi had seen how the rivalries between children translated into fights between parents. He knew that was partially a by-product of the sport’s soaring costs. Parents were trying to protect their investments.
“There are times when you have to tear the parents apart or tell them to leave the tent,” he said.
But even as Lorandi tried to dampen the tension between Julian and Alessandro, his blunt, win-at-all-costs coaching style could sometimes inflame it.
When one of them made a mistake, Lorandi would let loose.
“I don’t know what the f--- you’re doing,” he told Alessandro after a bad heat in Sarno.

Thanks for sharing @nanxun is there a way to view that article without pictures obscuring large parts of the story? My favorite line: "In financial terms, the parking lot in Sarno was full of incredibly successful parents making an incredibly bad investment." My take: If your Daddy isn't Lawrence Stroll who buys you an F1 team, you have a next to zero chance of becoming an F1 driver.
There was an F1 podcast where they interviewed Jean Alesi about his son's prospects to get into F1, and he said something like after reaching F2, they just couldn't afford the fees anymore. I'm thinking that if even Jean Alesi can't support his son moving up the ladder, there's no hope unless you have billionaire status.

YT guy Casey Putsch was looking at getting into Indy & got a couple test days in one of the feeder sessions on the Indy road course. He got some criticism for not pushing as hard [despite still being faster than most of the test field, at around 40yr old]. He said it's hard to really go at 10/10 when you're on the hook for the damages.
