Honda fastest in Silverstone test

I don't care what anyone sez, testing is not just an exercise in futility as BAR/Honda have demonstrated abundantly well this year:

I'm pulling for Honda, maybe they'll dump the $$ they're wasting on IRL and move it to the F1 program !!

EGGxactly = IRL 500 BS race had less viewers than NASCAR last week. I could only pray Tony da Asshole's series goes down in flames after screwin' up the best series there ever was (CART). For him to lose Honda and their resources to go elsewhere wld be great.

Interesting how things have turned around for honda this year. Now they could become the biggest threat to ferrari at this point in the season...

Yeah, that is amazing how Honda have finally turned the corner it would seem. Of course, having an extra car at every race to get settings for 2 hours and test the outer limits of an enging w/o having to worry if it blows up and costs 10 spots on the grid is a MAJOR plus too. Honda just happened to get their shit together before the season and are the only team that get to take such full advantage of their lowly position last year. It really couldn't be working any better for them. Can't wait to see Sato in Japanese GP,he'll be driving like a man possessed surely. Actually, he does anyways!

Hey, I'm with you Chief. I was a CART fan before and never really liked watching F1 much because of it's lack of competitiveness. I was (and still am) a big Zanardi fan and followed him back over to F1. Then I was a big JPM fan (maybe a little less so now). I've been rooting for him since he came to F1, but now I just like the whole deal and really don't have a favorite team or driver. The competition is much better than it used to be, when you pretty much knew not only who was going to win, but also who else would likely be on the podium with them. Now we only know who's gonna win (most likely, anyway). P2 and P3 are up for grabs!

OK Red, I won't give up yet. It does look like a great track. I'll tune in to Spike TV, watch the race, and look for you guys (although I wouldn't know you if I saw you - you don't have a red rider tatoo on your forehead or anything I don't guess). Hey while you are in Portland, look for a lowered 03 TL-S up there with 18x8 SSR GT1s and Mich Pilot PS2s on it (don't know what color). If you see it, you will be looking at the rims that were on my CLS6. I sold them to Parvo 99 up there. BTW, Have you or have you not been known to associate with a dude that goes by "Allout" over on your side of the country? Seems to be a pretty good guy!
