Once in a while, Toyota is very fast at practices and qualifyings, but can't keep up in full race distance.

Ferrari Conspiracy #6472 of the 2008 season:

Okay, this is getting just too ridiculous.

Hamilton Penalty- Hamilton made a stupid stupid move at turn one, but come on, it happens all the time. How many times did Schumacher pull some crazy squeeze on others during the first corner of a race?

Massa Penalty- I'm just amazed that the FIA actually called him in. I guess it was too obvious even for Max's yes-men.

Bourdais's Penalty- Umm, just what the huh? This thing has racing incident written all over it. The two cars were fighting for position, they both went into the corner at the same time(I think Bourdais was even slightly ahead), and contact happened. How in the world can a penalty be assessed?

This whole thing is just a joke now.

There are definitely 2 cliques in F1...the pro-Hamilton/McLaren crowd, and the pro-Ferrari crowd. The Speed commentators are obviously pro-Hamilton, and there may be some craziness regarding the breaks Ferrari gets, but I'll always love Ferraris after watching Schumacher for so many years.

Except for me. I really don't like McLaren and I really don't like Ferrari. So I guess I'm neutral, except when it involves Honda.

I've been watching F1 for many many years. There has always been questionable officiating. Anyone remember the ridiculous penalty that was given to Schumacher when he 'passed' Hill at Silverstone during the warm up lap? However, I don't ever recall a team getting screwed by the officials so consistently as McLaren has had over the last two years.

I don't really have a problem with the penalty handed to Hamilton because both him and Kovi hit Kimi in that corner and pushed him off the track.

I think Massa's penalty was warranted too. If they called Hamilton on his turn one move, they had to call Mass on that one. I knew he would get a penalty after that. I was hoping not though LOL.

Bourdais penalty is stupid. That is purely a racing incident.

I'm kind of cheering for Kubica now, I did not realize he was still in contention for the championship, especially if those other 2 idiots keep repeating their performances from Japan.

Massa was ahead, that's why Bourdais's front bumped Massa's on the side. But I agree that this was a pure race incident and no one should be penalized.

Not to mention race director Charlie Whiting supposedly told the drivers both at Singapore and at Fuji that a driver coming out of the pits has the right of way. So that's twice now this season that race stewards have issued penalties that are in direct conflict with either race control or the race director.

Exactly. The stewards just do whatever they want. What is the point of having a race director?

FIA directors are composed of (iirc) former Ferrari execs. 4 out of 5 i believe.

i for one would not want to see Massa become F1 champion. he just does not deserve it in my book. this whole race was just an example of Massa getting away with things that otherwise should have not netted him a single point.
