If I had a reasonable way to stream to my TVs, I'd consider it.
Wish they'd offer a native app for Samsung TVs. Don't want to have to slave another device to multiple TVs or have to run a computer/phone & cast to it constantly.

Not sure if he will retire, but looking at the 2011 driver list, when he made his debut, only Alonso, Hamilton, and Ricciardo are still racing in F1. So Perez has survived in F1 for a long time.

End of 2024 I can see Perez retiring or perhaps in a 3rd tier team. He does bring in some big sponsorship money from Mexico but that won't save his RB seat. Still wondering WTH happened to Perez after the first 5 races of the year when he was highly competitive to becoming inconsistent with his results.

He managed to blow that "hometown advantage" by Turn 1, part of me felt bad for him but he did manage to meet what expectations I had of his performance yesterday.
#736
Yeah, that was definitely an opportunistic dive into T1, he cut the nose right off Leclerc. Not sure how he thought that was going to go down.
Add in DR's performance & RBR has to be evaluating their 2024 options?

Shock exit for Mercedes F1’s chief technical officer Mike Elliott
Mike Elliot has left MB, not surpring as James Allison swapped jobs with him earlier this year. Allison's direction has been quite different with the aero package development through 2023 with the car getting more competitive compared to 2022 with Elliot.

FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem says Andretti-Cadillac could still go racing without Formula One Management approval or the associated prize money, but is hopeful it will not come to that.
The FIA has already given the all-clear from their side for the union of Andretti Autosport and General Motors brand Cadillac to join the Formula 1 grid, but now the challenge is to convince F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali and commercial rights holder Liberty Media to open the door.
Currently the signs are not promising though, F1 teams and management seemingly cold on the idea of letting Andretti-Cadillac in, to the point where Michael Andretti has taken the opposition as personal.
While operational issues have been referenced, such as a lack of pit-lane space by teams laying out the reasons against Andretti-Cadillac, the main issue revolves around money, with teams concerned about an extra player getting in on the revenue distribution, sceptical that Andretti-Cadillac would grow the prize pot.
However, even if FOM did not approve Andretti, Ben Sulayem said that would not stop them competing in F1, as the FIA has given the licence, though he hopes that it does not reach this stage.
“What I’ve heard from the legal side is that they [FOM] can say no to the financial [element],” Ben Sulayem told Speedcafe.com.
“But the licence [to compete in F1] belongs to the FIA, so they [Andretti] would be running, but without getting any money, and I don’t think that would happen.
“For me, I am optimistic they [FOM] will not say no, but anything can happen. I just hope they don’t say no because it is so good for business, so good to sustain motorsport.”
In response to the stern opposition from existing teams, Andretti said it was a “mystery” why that exists, as he affirmed the prospective team’s belief that they can generate increased revenue for Formula 1.
“It’s a mystery to me in some ways, why they’re pushing back,” Andretti told Sky Sports F1.
“You know, they say we’re slicing the pie, but I think the point is hopefully we bring in more than what we’re taking away, and we really believe that.
“I think if you look at the fan support and on all the surveys that have been done and things [like] that, we think that we’re going to add to it, not take away.”
Andretti are targeting joining the grid in F1 2025, with the ambition to run an American racer alongside an experienced F1 driver.

Brawn: The Impossible Formula 1 Story debuts on streaming service Disney+ in just a couple of weeks’ time on November 15th 2023, and the trailer for the show that came out today on YouTube features some extra details that were kept under wraps.
You may have noticed in interviews in the trailer that Keanu Reeves (who’s also narrating the show) sits down with Red Bull team boss Christian Horner, former Ferrari CEO Luca di Montezemolo and former Formula One Management CEO Bernie Ecclestone.
Three men who we all know have no problem speaking their minds, with a lot of the politics surrounding Brawn’s sudden rise to prominence heavily hinted at!
There’s also BBC’s footage of the 2009 F1 season used, as well as interviews with drivers Jenson Button, Rubens Barrichello and former team boss Ross Brawn, who famously bought the team for just a pound when Honda quit the sport in 2008.

That looks great, I hope they pay tribute to the Super Aguri engineers who came up with the double diffuser then presented it to the Honda team. There were alot of unsung hero's at Brawn, hope they are mentioned too. Nick Fry and Ross Brawn take too much credit for that amazing season IMO.

I've been watching racing for more than 50 years and I've never seen anything like that before in any kind of series. The closest I've seen is I think the 2014 Travers Race at Saratoga Springs. They started early bc a big storm was rolling in just like those clouds yesterday in Brazil. It got just as dark too. As the horses were on the back stretch, you could hardly see them. I won a lot of money that day as I recall . . . .

Pretty exciting finish for 3rd, Alonso's explanation on how he did it for the last three turns was good as well. Perez despite missing the podium seemed to console knowing he gave a good fight.

Alonso was taking some off line runs through the turns, but worked out to give him the dig he needed to keep ahead.
Good fight for 3rd, and given another 50 meters, Perez likely would've gotten it

Yeah, the straight line speed of the RB is unreal... I was so stoked to see Norris being able to keep up with Max, well.. keep up in a way the other teams can anyway... sub 7 seconds delta at the end? Not too shabby Norris...

It'll come to him. The MCL was hot garbage at the beginning of the season & has developed into a contender. Hopefully they can keep that up for 24 & put the fight to RBR.
Maybe Vegas will be his chance, a big unknown for everyone, so it'll have no incumbent advantage.

James Key leaving then promoting Peter Prodromou and Neil Houldey has had a great effect at McLaren on the car overall aero performance.
Their new front wing has alot of trick details in it supposedly which promotes alot of outwash.
Similar effect at Mercedes with James Allison returning. Still little surprised that Aston hasn't had much performance improvement this season.
They looked very competition early on.
