^ Alson thinking this is like 2008-9 when he moved back to a noncompetitive Renault after his first bad experience at McLaren. Jenson could be out of a drive next year.

James Allen is a better writer and deeper analyzer of race information IMO

Unrelated to the current season, but found this in the local Ferrari dealer
Convinced my daughter to make the walk over from the mall. She asked a couple times if it was Sebastian's.
Says 2003 constructor's champion on it, so assuming it's Schumi's. Guy in the showroom was surprisingly nice considering I clearly didn't look to be a customer.

New column
BBC Sport - Formula 1: Cracks appearing between Honda and McLaren
Don't quite agree with this one as it took Honda 3 years to develop their first F1 motor into the dominate powerplant.
One column I miss is Gary Anderson's BBC F1.

No surprise.
If things don't work out well, it's always a blame game.
Take the Red-Bull/Renault F1 team as another example.

Silly season is finally starting to heat up.
Bottas to replace Raikkonen? Nasr to take Bottas's seat at Williams? Two Brazilians at Williams?

She knows Seb, Lewis, Max; mostly by their cars. Not bad for a nearly 4-year old.

Bottas to Ferrari?

I have always wondered if Daniel Ricciardo ever wipes that smile off his face when he drives or he actually drives like that? On the other hand Kimi, well, he is a natural LOL.

Now they say in season testing will be banned. This is getting ridiculous.

All these rules will force teams to cheat! Cheating is like screwing the fans with deception, corruption and lies. What part of this the F1 bosses don't understand? I don't know!

^^ Disagree. Teams will always push the envelope of acceptability within the rules (rear diffuser, fuel mixtures, etc.) but the FIA has such stringent measures in place no one is going to be able to "cheat" outright. I think the worst example of cheating was when Piquet Jr. was asked to crash allowing Alonso to pit and refuel/win the race and it was done with millions watching.

Ferrari has confirmed the impending arrival at Maranello of former Mercedes engineer Jock Clear.
It is believed Clear will head up the engineering team at Ferrari in a role similar to that previously held by Pat Fry, who departed at the end of last year.

It takes 12 months between quitting one team and be allowed to sign up for another team... technically he can join December 2015 (since he gave his notice to AMG in Dec 2014), but in this case it appears that there is some freedom on behalf of AMG. Maybe the knowledge transfer to his replacement was done faster than 12 months. Jock Clear is a good communicator, no bull, straight shooter Brit. Doubt that he left because of more money... probably had enough with Lewis's sometimes childish persona.
So, thats why Vettel was all smiles today?

The rolling restart, lap 49, was spectacular. Finally we see F1 drivers actually racing. They should have more rolling starts!!!
PS. Bad day for Lewis. Oh well, I am sure there are a few good parties he has to go to after anyways

Awesome race today. I agree the rolling restart was awesome.
Feel really bad for Kimi. He was doing so well and really needed a podium.
Sucks that we have another 3 week break now.

The entire race in the video below, if you don't mind the edit that bypasses the youtube rules. It appears Lewis lost his concentration while seeing, once again, another two cars beat him with their launch and power at the start. Something he needs to practice starting from 2nd or 3rd perhaps?

That's the craziest race this year. I think this race will be the biggest factor in Hamilton retaining his championship. Hamilton had his worst race ever, and he still gained points on Rosberg.
I loved Ricciardo's desperation pass on Rosberg, but I felt he should have been penalized for causing the contact. Ricciardo made the move, so it was up to him to make sure there was no contact as a result.
