Force India 2008

Force India F1 launched its 2008 grand prix racer at the Autosport International today. Many missed the low key event taking place on the stand of the teams newest partner, machinery firm Hardinge.

The as yet unnamed car is based around the 2007 Spyker F8 VII chassis, but has undergone significant and ongoing development.

There is little change visible on the car but it features an all new gearbox casing, and work has been carried out on the cars balance especially with the demands of a car without traction control.
I think the spiral note book on the car will give it an extra 5hp.

It's fitting that they placed the car next to the trash bins.

Same car, new livery. I agree with stangg, the Spyker livery looked better.

color scheme reminds me of Miller beer label. Mallya is spending an awful lot of cash to have a national team for India to be proud of which will likely be nothing more than a high speed chicane sucking hind tit.

Well, considering Kingfisher's biggest product is its beer, the resemblance to a beer label should not be surprising.

And when I was in India a few weeks ago, they were really heavily promoting this so if it tanks, which it most likely will, it's going to disappoint a lot of people.

I would imagine the Kingfisher that's being advertised here is the airline, who is in line to receive some longhaul Airbus in the next few years. The airline is one of six worldwide airlines to be rated 5-stars, which is a huge feat. I highly doubt they're advertising for the beer.

I'm sure they are advertising both the beer and the airline.
