F1 weekend race schedule
Here it is:
The FIA has released its official timetable for this year's 16 Grands Prix.
Friday takes on a completely new look with a private test session followed by practice and the first qualifying session - and on Sunday the normal warm-up disappears to leave no F1 track action until race-start at 1400.
Friday
11.00 – 12.00 Free Practice session
14.00 – 15.00 First Qualifying Practice session
Saturday
09.00 – 09.45 Free Practice Session
10.15 – 11.00 Free Practice Session
13.30 – 13.45 Warm Up Practice Session
14.00 – 15.00 Second Qualifying Practice Session
Sunday
14.00 Race
The only anomalies come in some of the race times. Malaysia 15.00, Canada, Britain and the US all at 13.00 while Japan is at 14.30 (all local times).
The private test session runs on Friday – involving Renault, Jordan, Minardi and Jaguar takes place on Friday 08.30 – 10.30.
The new structure accommodates the rule changes brought in over the winter. These include the new single-lap qualifying on the Saturday - with the order the cars go out in decided by Friday's qualifying session.
Sunday's warm-up has been abandoned - as the cars are now no longer allowed to refuel between qualifying and the race.
