Deep Depression

I hate this time of the year, no more F1! It doesn't look like DeMatta has decided what he's doing either according to the most recent news. Well, we have some good CART races coming up so I have something to look forward to on the open wheel front.

I watched a good gp last nite (250) for a while. I love watching bike racing. They were in Malaysia and I was trying to determine if they were going quicker around the track than an F1 car. I don't remember seeing times tho so I can't say. Whadya think? Maybe a 500cc bike can, but I doubt the 250's could. Next up on the transportation wish list: BMW R1150RT either in Amarena Red or Met. Silver next spring. Can't wait, have wanted one for a long time. Time to replace my FJ1200!

Toyota would be crazy not to lock up Da Matta, but if not it will be great for CART. My wife and i are going to Fontana, and Hammer and his wife are going with us. I can't wait

The first CART race run at Fontan in 97 my wife, father and I had all access passes so we made our way down to victory lane. We had to move off to the right of the podium, but I was 6 feet from Vasser (have his hat). During the podium celebration, my wife's camera got hit w/ a lot of champagne while she took pix. Camera never worked again! Big Mo had a 252 mph qualifying lap or something like that (30 seconds). I'll never forget watching that lap from pit roof, my head kept turning continuously following the car around the track b/c he was going so fawkin' fast!! I wish I was there but I lost my track connection (brother was gm for Sportservice-now he's vp food/bev at Intn'l Motorsports). Enjoy Red!

yeah, i don't think a 250 is faster than an F1 car, neither is a 500 or larger bike tho, they just can't carry the same speeds once aerodynamics come into play....

I ordered my 22 tix for the CDN GP in 2003...grandstand 12, here we come!!

also got my tix for the USGP yesterday too
