Christian Fittipaldi moving to stock cars

He might as well...Cristiano Da Matta is making him look bad, and he hasn't been all that successful in CART.
Any new news/rumours/speculation about Da Matta joining Toyota's F1 effort?

Nothing at the moment, just a lot of speculation. DeMatta is tipped to be the heavy favorite to drive the Toyota cars next year tho. We'll see (I predict by next race weekend).

Yeah, I'd say he's as good as gone...
It says alot about CART, when their drivers are sent to F1 ...
Even Herta is going over (although he isn't in CART now, he still counts), check it out here ...
You don't see IRL or...gasp...Nascar drivers going to F1...

Further evidence of anj's assertion that it looks good on CART for their drivers to go to F1: Herta's replacing Yoong @ Minardi apparently. He's going to drive the car for 50km (3 week testing ban, can't drive car in session more than this). Question is, Hungary is one of the technically toughest tracks on the calendar, can Herta cut the F1 mustard (or is that Grey Poupon)

C. Fittapaldi has been over rated since day one. Thanks to his uncle Emerson, he got rides with good teams but never produced.
Unfortunately, that was the ONLY track he was good at. Herta owned Laguna Seca (except when Alex Minardi pulled a great move on him). Team Rahal gave Herta plenty of time to prove himself on the CART circuit. I believe he is has a lot of talent. Hopefully, a change of scenery will help him flourish.
Herta was great at Laguna, but it is funny that a guy who couldn't get a ride in CART this year is in F1 !!

I seem to recall Herta having the proclivity to take his team mate out of races No? He does that in F1 and they'll have his ass gone by the next race.
