F-C: Congratulations to fsyttms1 on winning his first championship. The following is the post race interview with fsttyms1 when he learned that he had won.
Q1: You have been an Acurazine member since 2002. How does it feel to finally win the big one after so many years of trying?
A1: Finally!!!!! the weight has been lifted. I finally did it!!
Q2: Just how emotional are you today? How does this compare to your other achievements?
A2: Ecstatic. Cant believe it. I finally did it, even with all those wanting me to fall i kept my head high and did it!!
Q3: This has been a record setting championship. It appears that you have done something that has never been done before in the 10 year history of the championship, which is to never surrender the lead from the first race to the last race. Was this something you've been thinking about as the championship wound down, such as your place in history?
A4:From the beginning, it was something i wanted to do. I kept telling myself i could, I knew i could do it and pushed hard to. I wanted to set the benchmark of greatness high, i just didnt think it would be this high.
Q4: Are there anyone you are thankful for? To win a championship such as this one requires a support staff that goes beyond just one person I assume.
A4: I am thankful for all my competition, they kept me on my toes and motivated all season. Im also thankful for my support staff/team. They are the true victors. Without them i woldnt be here today. Thankyou Captain Morgan and Coke.
Q5: Back to the championship season. Was there any point where you thought that you've blown it? What about Malaysia, when you had a DNS! You do realize that you never surrendered the lead in this championship even without a DNS?!?!? It's completely mind blowing.
A5: I really thought the summer break or my DNS would be the tipping point where i would fall from the top. I kept my head high and told myself not this time. This was MINE and mine alone to lose.
Q6: How will you enjoy this off season? Any big plans? Will you be going to Disney World?
A6: I will enjoy my offseason with my Fish. We will sit and discuss our 2018 goals and plans for being victorious again.
Q7: Any last words before we sign off? Taunts to the losers?
A7: Yes, i would like to thank ALL those who competed this season for making it another great year. I would also like to say that now i have tasted VICTORY i wont be so forgiving and fully plan to be at the top again. Also i would like to let Chief know that there will be no more summer break slumps where i expect to fall from the top so he better work hard in the off season if he expects to keep up!!
fsyttms1: Also a Big shout out and THANKS to F-C for making all the graphs and charts and keeping track of all of our pics. All this wouldnt be possible without you!! Thanks again for all your hard work. Cant wait till we all meet back in our weekly battles for the 2018 season
F-C: Thank you fsttyms1. Again, congrats on an unbelievable world championship that will never be forgotten.

I think it's all because of fsttyms1's avatar-I'm sure she exudes some sort of magical powers with that tongue of hers.

Post season statistics:
Once again, there are no real correlation between how many races you win and your final standings. It's really about maximizing your points over the entire season.

A big thanks to the surprise present from all of you. I really enjoy pitching in and running the league(most of the time ), so I definitely don't expect anything, but I really appreciate the present. So a big thank you.
Merry Christmas, happy holidays and New Year to everyone that played this year and was part of the community.

This year was really fun, so looking forward to next year. I know we've talked about this before, but is it time to allow us to pick each driver 4 times? I was against it in the past, because when one team is dominating, I don't think allowing 4 picks make much of a difference. However, the racing was really competitive this year, so it was really difficult picking drivers for each race. It's no longer Mercedes and 18 other cars. I believe next year it will be even more competitive. Ferrari and Red Bull should be stronger. McLaren might be back.
Yea or Nay?
