Good stock tips
Good stock tips
Anybody have any good stock tips?? Let's share some so we can all make some $!! Here's mine. VYST makes a metal detector that is smart. Its being installed in jails, courthouses all over. It's becoming very popular and it's very good. It has memory and is attached to a computer that "remembers" things. It won't pick up change, but it'll pick up a razor blade, or pocket knife but no belt buckle. It's cool. The stock is cheap because the only made like $800,000 last year, but now they make $200,000+ monthly and growing. Plus the company was funded by govt agencies so I'm not worried that a $.14 stock company will go bankrupt or anything.
i started a "stock tip thread" more or less on this forum a long time ago for people to bounce stock plays off of each other... but there wasnt enough traffic in the forum to really ever keep it going. it should be towards the very bottom of this forum haha pages and pages away.
would be a good thing to revive. but before i start, i would like to note DO YOUR OWN DD (due diligence). research and check out charts before you go out and buy these haha cmon people common sense!
ill give some plays, not necesarily some "tips" though. COGT. this stock has always been on my watch list and i have traded it numerous times. it seems to follow a certain pattern and almost always trade between the 20-30 price range. example: recently i bought it on the low dip of 21.xx and then solid it off once it peaked around the 25.00 range. this cycle took about a week or two to complete. now, today, its back down 2 dollars. so i will wait it out some more until it slowly bottoms out and repeat cycle. they specialize in fingerprint recognition technology.. lots of government contracts etc. note, i am not currently in this stock.
another play i like (keep in mind this one is farily LONG TERM). ASTM. i dont usually play long term but this one ive liked for a while. i got in a while ago when i first heard about it. they do stem cell research and are bioscience related basically. if all goes well, their fda approvals will come around 2007 or so. so i'm in for the longrun on this one. but you can also trade it a few times on the side. entry around 2 and exit around 3 or 3.50. note: i am currently in this stock
one more "mainstream" pick i guess would be BRCM... lots of talk about them lately. I know a few people who work in development (of new bluetooth chipsets) and testing at this company and its a solid well run company. i'm waiting for a pullback until i get in this one though.. had a brief run up as of late. note: i do not own this stock (yet!)
this other pick was pointed out to me on a similar stock tips thread over on e46fanatics.com (bimmer site). IPWG. it has to do with waste removal in mexico and its a developmental company. look at the charts and youll see its a pretty steady upclimb. slow and steady. this is kind of a longer play as well. you can trade it on the side i guess but there is never much volume on it. but it usually fluctuates 4 cents every day or two. because its priced cheaply, if you pick up a huge chunk you could pull a nice intraday profit. note: i am currently in this stock
k so you get the jist of it.. ill throw out some others that are on my watchlists as well: ELN (recently dropped hardcore bc of tsyabri incident and is rebounding nicely.. is at 16 now, should see 18-20 in the near future too),
FORD (forward industries, do stuff for consumer handheld electronics, obviously big market these days),
ING (the same ING as referenced in other threads, theyre paying great interest rates and seem to be successful as an online bank... besides investing in their online savings, why not invest in them as a company too if they are run so well?)
same goes for HBC (hsbc the other online bank mentioned... ive seen it get some talk lately on some shows and online articles... same basis as ING).
then obviously AAPL is a solid play, i think it can hit 100 too
as mentioned in another thread on here, XOM will be a solid long term play with oil in its current state
ok thats all ive got for now. hopefully this time this sort of thread can last longer and have people feed off of each others ideas and such. once again i remind you to DO YOUR OWN DD. please remember to research these on your own as well!!
