filing taxes

So I'm doing my taxes, this is my first time doing it where I have made investments in the stock market. Do I have to itemize each stock, indicating gains and losses? Or can I do how much I purchased total and sold total. That would be much quicker.

I've always listed each stock so I hope that's the way to do it

You have to itemize. Any decent tax software will walk you through it.

Yeah I itemized, I used TurboTax online, it was tedious as hell to do it (the stock stuff), but I got it done. E-filed it and I'm done.
