Etrade Banking
So everyone here is always excited when ING or HSBC increases their rates, but it looks to me like etrade offers a money market (4.86apy) and CD rates that are higher then ING or HSBC.
Am I missing something here ??

No you aren't. Just beware that etradebank is operationally incompetent. I've had an account with them for 3 or 4 years but only use them sparingly.
One of the things they suck worst of all at is depositing checks. Even when I've used their own pre-addressed postage paid envelopes to deposit checks to my account via mail it regularly took more than five weeks for the bank to credit the funds to my account. This happened a number of times and once caused a big mess when I had to ask the people who wrote the checks to me to stop payment and reissue their checks because more than six weeks elapsed from the time I mailed my checks in during which my account had never been credited.
If you do open account at eTradebank I stongly recommend using only ACH/Moneylink electronic funds transfers to deposit funds to your account. It's fairly easy to link your bank and brokerage accounts electronically and when you have done this the funds transfer from one account to the other pretty seamlessly.

Yeah, I did some poking around and found a couple of similiar stories on fatwallet...
Looks like I'm still going to have to re-evaluate all the different banking options now...
Know I know why alot of the guys here have accounts setup with multiple companies...
