Was this a dumb move?

I had a 0% apr intro period for 12 months, and it is finially up had a 2600 dollar balance, and paid 600 and tranfered it to my new card. My new card is the blue card, the offer 3.9% APR for the life of the balance transfer. The APR on my old bank of america card was 20 something.

So I transfered the 2k to the card but the limit is only 2k, so my cards is maxed. Does that look really bad for my credit ratings, im trying to do everything good and not mess up like my mom has in the past.

I did this last month, and I plan on paying it off in a few months. The weird thing is today the Blue Card raised my limit to 6k from 2k...

Keep your payments on time and try to get rid of this debt ASAP. The fact that you are at your limit will affect your credit short term but not long term as long as you don't have ANY late payments.

You may want to double-check the fine print on balance transfers. You may have to use the card once during the billing cycle to keep the lower APR on balance transfers.

If that's true, pay an extra $20 toward principal then go charge a pack of gum on it. Oh and take pics of the shlub behind the counter when you pop out the card and say "charge it"
