Coin Machine
Coin Machine
I've got a jar of coins at home and I would like to trade them in for cash. I know of the coinstar machines but they charge 10% which is insane. I've heard that certain banks/credit unions have coin machines that are free. The problem is that I don't know where any such machines exist.
I'm up around the Carlsbad area (just north of San Diego). Anyone know of any free coin machines?
Thanks!

I took mine to a bank once (pre-coinstar), and it was an assload of change, they told me i had to put it all into those coin wrappers before they would take it. It took hours, I'd like to never have to do that again.

I've got a shit load of change I'd like to turn in for cash, but the thought of wrapping it all up frightens me...
Maybe I need to switch banks
I won't give a Mac machine $2 per transaction but I will gladly give coinstar 10% because change is a pain in the ass. My bank doesn't do the free thing.
BTW you can skip the 10% if you have coinstar give you an amazon gift card instead of cash.
