Auto-financing

For a car loan, who have you used. Of course there is capital one, but are any other companies that really do car loans like cap-one. I just want to compare the rates. I tried lending tree, but not a big fan of filing out an actual app.

I've used Bank of America (they post rates on their home page), Honda Financial, and Carmax for car loans.

Credit unions are best if you have one. Mine offered me 3.9% on a new/used car loan.

I joined penfed.org

even if you arent military you can still join if you join the military family assoc. (or something like that) thats what I did.

I used Chase to buy the Jeep for my girlfriend to drive. It was used, low rates, etc. Nothing to complain about.

You mean the 1 year $20 thing ? Do you have to renew that at the end of the year, or can you just cancel?

WOW, I too am a member of penfed.org. I have financed 4 cars through them and they are EXCELLENT to work with. It is the nicest thing in the world to not have to deal with a stealerships bullshit. Just walk in, slap the shit out of the salesman, tell him the car you want, show him the check, and ask for the keys!

Try www.bankrate.com.

This site gives rate comparisons for many lenders.

Good point, forget about that. Although I do not trust bankrate much for mortgage rates, let's see if they come through for auto loans.
