2007 Berkshire Hathaway Annual Meeting :: May 5 :: Omaha, NE
Anyone coming to Woodstock for Capitalists in a few weeks here in Omaha?
If you have never seen Warren Buffett speak, it will be equivalent to the stories of your grandfather telling you how he saw Babe Ruth in the World Series. The man is a living legend, and won't be in the game for too much longer.
I am able to get anyone some passes to the event if you are interested in attending.
The passes also guarantee you discounts at all Berkshire Companies, like NFM, Boreshiems, and many more.

I'm not denying that, I just get a bit grossed out by steak, I don't even like looking at it - we're all different

A few highlights from this years meeting: Susan Decker of Yahoo was added to the board of directors, this coming just on the heels of the speculation of the Microsoft and Yahoo merger. So, now the Berkshire Board has the CEO of Microsoft and the CFO of Yahoo on board.
All of this could be very convenient for Warren Buffett and Munger who have expressed very vivid interest in purchasing a large corporation with their $50 billion in cash laying around their office.
CNBC has been downstairs all day in our lobby doing some reporting on the Berkshire meeting. I don't know if they are waiting for some type of announcement from Warren, or what their deal is, but they have been standing by, idle, all morning.
All-in-all, a great time, very informative, and I can't wait until next years.

^^^ That's awesome!
Even though I don't own any shares directly(a few mutual funds I am in have some berkshire shares) I would love to go, Buffet and Munger aren't getting any younger and there will come a time where the meetings lose that magic that they both add - your very lucky to have experienced this because after they slow down a bit we may never see something like this in our lifetimes again.
